What criteria must I meet to be a
resident at Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary?
Before a person is admitted, the following is required:
- A History and Physical
- A Discharge Summary
- A Transfer Sheet with a physician's signed orders for medications, activities, diet, prognosis and rehabilitation potential
- A Release of Care to the Medical Director if the attending physician will not follow resident at Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary
- A Medicare Card, Medicaid Card, or other Insurance Cards
when applicable
What do I need to bring with me if admitted as a resident?
- Clothing
- Personal items (such as special blanket, quilt, pictures, etc.)
- Lift Chair or Electric Wheelchair (if needed)
- TV
What services does the facility provide?
- Nursing and Restorative Care
- Case Management
- Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation
- Speech Therapy
- Palliative Care
- Social and Religious Activities
- Alzheimer's Unit
What are the room rates?

Rates include: room, meals, in-between nourishment, 24-hour
nursing care, recreational therapy, services of a social worker, and
pastoral care personnel.
Rates DO NOT include: medication, x-ray, laboratory, physical therapy or
speech therapy prescribed by a physician.
Is the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary only for
religious women?
No. Men and women, religious or non-religious, may apply
for residency at Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.
